gardening with kids pet friendly natural fertilizer uses

When you’re gardening with your kids, it’s important to make sure that you all have a good time and that you can keep your children’s attention. Since these days a lot of kids spend most of their time watching cartoons or gaming, it’s easy for them to get distracted or bored in nature, and if you want to teach them as well as ensure that they’re having a good time, you must plan ahead to start with activities that they’ll really enjoy.

One of the best things you can do is get them some fun gardening tools and have them help you water, aerate or plant your lawn and garden. Always use a pet friendly lawn fertilizer that’s safe for everyone.  This is great to try during the spring, and it’s best if you have one or two kids that are actually fascinated by gardening. Then you can also spend time teaching them about the needs of various plants and which plants require more water and sunlight than others.

Painting, crafting and decorating outdoors while taking care of the garden is also a great pastime. You can set up an easel for them to have fun with, or work together on crafts you can later use to decorate your garden and fence.

Finally, it’s also a great idea to have a fun cleaning and watering session especially in the spring. Show your children how to clear old leaves and deal with watering and fertilizing the garden after wintertime passes, to make sure it grows properly.
